How does CBD work?
All Cannabinoids, including CBD, produce effects in the body
by attaching to certain receptors.
The human body produces certain cannabinoids on its own.
It also has two receptors for cannabinoids, called CB1 and CB2
receptors. CB1 Receptors are present throughout the body,
but many are in the brain.
The CB1 receptors in the brain deal with coordination and
movement, pain, emotions, and mood, thinking, appetite, memories
and other functions.
CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system. They
affect inflammation and pain.
Researchers once believed that CBD attached to these CB2 receptors,
but it now appears that CBD does not attach directly to either
receptor. Instead, it seems to direct the body to use more of its
own cannabinoids.
-
Are drug reactions possible with CBD?
Yes, The way CBD is metabolized by your body can interfere
with how your body normally metabolizes other drugs you take.
If those drugs are not metabolized properly, they can hang around
and stay in your system longer than you want. This can cause negative
side effects and complications.
However drug interactions aren't always bad. CBD can make other
drugs more effective, so much so that you can reduce the dosage of
those other drugs thus have less negative side effect to deal with.
If you take other medication, speak with your doctor before
you start taking CBD.

Yes. Pets can benefit from CBD in many of the same ways we can:
pain, seizures, inflammation and anxiety. While CBD is safe to use the
dosage will be less then in humans. Dogs have a higher
concentration of cannabinoid receptors in their brain. This means they
are very sensitive to THC. But a small amount of THC like in some
CBD products could be beneficial for animals. We recommend you
consult with a veterinarian before you start giving your pets CBD.
